Chapter 288 - Pirate King Vs Kiwi Fruit
Hei Ying leaned in closer to Qilin Luse and whispered, "The boss is very handsy, ouch." Qilin Luse had not only pinched him but he also sheeshed him. Even though Qilin Hao was weak right now she could still ask someone to pluck this bird\'s feathers and he didn\'t want to be the one to do it.
The pair of shameless lovers finally separated with Ji Wen wiping the corner of her mouth with his thumb. She turned to look at the two with a vicious expression and said, "It better be an emergency otherwise there will be hell to pay."
Qilin Luse led the kowtow and Hei Ying followed suit before passing the formal greetings. Ji Wen seemed to reduce his presence but his actions were still so eye-catching that they were hard to ignore. His finger was hovering above the fruit bowl wondering which fruit to feed his baobei.
Imagine a shirtless tall man with long curled red hair sitting beside a gorgeous woman while messing around with a bowl of fruit. That kind of sight was hard to ignore. Qilin Luse tried to remain focused on the subject at hand that is until Ji Wen got his hands on kiwi fruit.
Because Ji Wen always had his fruits peeled and sliced in advance because of his son\'s preferences he had no idea how to deal with this furry looking fruit. In fact, he had no idea that\'s how a kiwi fruit looks like before it appeared on his plate.
In his mind, he was minimizing his presence fading into the background but in truth, he was the centre of attention right now. A big man was scrutinizing a kiwi fruit as though studying an alien species from outer space.
Actually, he was more like some Gen Z kid who had never seen a cow and when asked where milk comes from they would say the grocery store. Watching this showdown Qilin Luse could barely keep his cool.
"Your Highness, this servant highly recommends the elimination of pri-, I mean emperor Rui. He has become a.... a big um," he said but his brows furrowed when he saw Ji Wen almost bite the kiwi fruit with its skin intact. How did this man run a fleet successfully? How could this man be their little prince\'s father? It didn\'t make any sense. The guy looked like an idiot.
"I think his IQ is in the negative. If he struggling with a kiwi then what about when he gets hold of men eating fruits in Niuq. He would be dead," whispered Hei Ying before a sharp glare was sent his way by Qilin Hao.
The concerned wife turned to her husband and took the fruit out of his hand before taking out a dagger from who knows where. "I wanted to prepare it for you," whispered Ji Wen before raising his head to look at Qilin Hao.
Because he had been so focused on the bloody kiwi this entire time he hadn\'t heard what Hei Ying said about him otherwise that bird would have not only had his feathers plucked but also roasted by lightning.
"I know. Let me show you how to do it so you can do it for me," she said but the truth of the matter was that she was also a princess which meant this kiwi was peeled with half its fleshy parts gone with the peels. By the time she was done with it it almost resembled a shrivelled up grape.
Qilin Luse, "..."
Hei Ying, \'rolling in laughter internally.\'
Even the pair of lovers could tell something was wrong but they would never admit that. One was praising his wife for having exceptional skills while the other was feeding her husband with a proud look on her face.
Having shown her husband the right way to ruin a kiwi fruit, Qilin Hao immediately said, "Eliminate him," in a stern voice while glaring at Hei Ying.
Hei Ying\'s face turned pale as he shakily pointed at himself terrified. "M-m-m," he inaudibly stammered unable to let the word \'me\' out. Even Qilin Luse was frightened. He knew Hei Ying\'s big mouth will get him into trouble someday he just didn\'t expect the trouble to be execution.
"Yes you... go and eliminate the bastard. He is of no use to me," she said before waving her hand dismissively. Ji Wen who had managed to successfully peel the kiwi fruit cut it into pieces and fed Qilin Hao.
Hei Ying heaved a sigh of relief before running away lest Qilin Hao changed her mind. He would make sure to chop Emperor Rui to pieces and package him up in a box tied with a red bow to please her Highness. The sooner he got that done the better.
Qilin Luse on the other hand kowtowed and hesitantly spoke, "It-it\'s the little prince.... he, he now has four keystones and is going after the fifth. After this... it means he will be coming here as her Highness already has two of them." The man dressed in maroon remained kowtowed on the ground not sure what sort of reaction Qilin Hao could have.
The dagger in Ji Wen\'s hand slipped making a clanking noise on the side of the bowl. His gaze shifted to Qilin Luse before moving to his wife. "How will he find us?" he asked as he put down the half-peeled fruit.
Qilin Hao moistened her lips before saying, "He must have figured out a way to find the other keystones with the ones he currently has which means he can now find us as long as he gets the fifth one."
She explained this well but in truth, to her, it was pure speculation. Even she couldn\'t find the other keystones this easily when she first entered this world. She only had one that she held on to before the keystones scattered. The second one she stole from Prince Rui hence she already had two in her hands.
The only reason why she found them when her father sent her to look for them in Niuq was because she had a map. It\'s just that the danger level was extreme so much so that Qilin Kai failed to achieve the task. Her son on the other hand knew something she didn\'t and she wanted to find out what it was.
As she rubbed her clenched fist lost in thought Qilin Luse continued, "Based on the little prince\'s character he won\'t hand over those keystones easily unless if, if her highness tells him the tru-," but he didn\'t get to finish because remember that shoe she almost threw on the door? It was about to fly in his direction.
Lucky for him, Ji Wen was there to stop her not that a shoe would actually hurt him. Qilin Luse had already endured lashes from that deadly sword so what could a shoe do to him.. He just worried this would aggravate Qilin Hao\'s fragile aether.
