Chapter 1922 - Ten Desires Sect
Chapter 1922 - Ten Desires Sect
Qin Nan was lost in his thoughts as he stared at them through the screens.
After some time, Mo Xiaoli waved his hand and withdrew the screens. He said, “For some reasons, their cultivation has improved a lot quicker than we have imagined. They will soon reach the Peerless Ruler Realm. Don’t you worry.”
‘I forgot to give you the badge last time. Take these. I’ll let you know when they set out for the First Immortal Realm.”
Mo Xiaoli’s figure faded away after he finished the sentence. Three strange badges with mystical glow fell into Qin Nan’s hand.
Qin Nan finally collected his thoughts. He was still smiling until now.
It was the best feeling without a doubt, knowing that the people you cared for were still alive and well.
“Phew.”
Qin Nan withdrew his thoughts and mumbled to himself, “It’s time to visit the Ten Desires Sect.”
Qin Nan put the badges away and inspected the Ten Thousand Dao Immortal Badge to look for information related to the Ten Desires Sect.
The Ten Desires Sect had the worst reputation among the fourteen Supreme Daoism factions. The main reason was that the disciples of the Ten Desires Sect would commit a lot of sinful acts just to improve their cultivation rapidly.
Many cultivators treated the Ten Desires Sect as an evil faction.
“The Ten Desires Sect is in the Twenty-Third Small Immortal Realm? Isn’t that where Heaven Master Shangyue is?”
Qin Nan raised his brows.
Heaven Master Shangyue was the scarecrow he met in the Six Unity Forbidden Land. He told Qin Nan that he could visit him anytime if he had nowhere to go, or if he was interested in the art of formations.
Doom let out a relieved sigh after hearing Qin Nan’s words.
He was on edge all the time while he was at the Ancient Bodhi Temple. They should be safe in the Twenty-Third Small Immortal Realm since they had a friend in the Master Realm there.
“Let’s go.”
Qin Nan altered his aura and appearance before leaving the cave.
Qin Nan purposely found a deserted place to release Liujie, Qing Liu, and her men. He sneaked into a Bodhi city and took a realm-crossing immortal vessel.
Qin Nan arrived in the Twenty-Third Small Immortal Realm three days later.
“Should I visit Heaven Master Shangyue?”
Qin Nan gave up on the thought after a slight ponder.
He was not that close with Heaven Master Shangyue. Besides, the man was a great authority in the Master Realm. He might be displeased if he knew Qin Nan was only visiting him for such a trivial matter.
However, Qin Nan did not notice one of the three strange badges in his storage bag glowing briefly.
“I should gather some information first.”
Qin Nan flew to a city nearby.
This time, he did no ask where the Ten Desires Sect was. He was finding out where the powerful cultivators would usually gather instead.
He could only gather the information he needed from other powerful cultivators.
Qin Nan had learned a lot from his trip to the Ancient Bodhi Temple too. He should avoid entering the territory of a Supreme Daoism faction unless it was necessary.
If it wasn’t for Old Buddha Nantai’s help at the Ancient Bodhi Temple, he would be hunted by the entire faction. He would be done for if he was unlucky enough to stumble into a Nine Heavens Supreme.
“City of Eight Suns, a lot of factions are stationed there with crooks mixed in with the honest folk, a lawless place. Doesn’t that sound like the Fourth Immortal Realm? I should visit it first.”
Qin Nan made up his mind and was soon on the way. He arrived in the City of Eight Suns two days later.
The city was extremely huge. Its city walls were formed by nature instead of being built with ores. The walls were faint red, with a rather strong will of flames.
The area was once an unusual land of treasure. However, since the faction occupying it was wiped out, many rogue cultivators had moved here. The place eventually turned into a city.
Qin Nan heard many voices as soon as he entered the city.
“High-quality cauldron for cultivating in pairs, now on discount!”
“Fragments of the blueprint of an ancient Dao Weapon, you can’t afford to miss them!”
“Well-preserved corpse of an Immortal Heaven it’s extremely rare, check it out now!”
The vendors on both sides of the street were yelling to gather the crowd’s attention.
Qin Nan lost his interest after taking a quick glance at them. He was a little disgusted too. There were people selling female cultivators apart from those that were selling things related to the demon cultivation.
These female cultivators used to be the disciple of some formidable factions, but they were captured after their factions were destroyed and were sold as slaves.
“Mm? An inn? I shall take a look inside.”
Qin Nan saw a place called the Drunken Immortal Inn after crossing two streets. He went inside the place without any hesitation.
The Drunken Immortal Inn had three floors. The third floor consisted of cabins protected by formations to prevent others from peeking or eavesdropping. The first and second floors were open halls with hundreds of tables. Half of the place was crowded with people.
Qin Nan ordered a jar of wine and listened carefully in his seat.
“(Sigh), how unlucky were we the other day? We were so close, but we ended up stumbling into one of the Five Friends of the Ten Desires Sect. We almost died because of it.”
“I heard Daoist Dian of the Ten Desires Sect was already on his way to the Wilted Tree Cliff. He’s going to attempt his breakthrough to the Nine Heavens Supreme there.”
“Did you hear? Immortal Emperor Gushi that recently stirred up a great scene in the Realm of the Primordial Blood is here too.”
Qin Nan stopped drinking for a moment when he heard Immortal Emperor Gushi’s name.
However, he was not too surprised. Immortal Emperor Gushi could be considered a demon cultivator too. The Twenty-Third Small Immortal Realm did suit him well.
“Damn it, the Pavilion of Eight Suns almost got me. They didn’t warn me there is the corpse of a Nine Heavens Supreme in that place.”
A bald man whose face was covered in scars cursed after taking a mouthful of wine. He was not worried that the others could hear him.
Qin Nan arrived beside the man and brought his fists together, “Cultivator, I’m here for the first time. Do you mind if you ask you something? Is the Pavilion of Eight Suns a place that trades information?”
The man was startled. He soon wore a wide smile, “Are you asking me?”
Qin Nan nodded. The man harrumphed coldly and slapped at Qin Nan.
He was a fifth-layer Heaven Immortal. The slap was rather powerful.
“You shouldn’t be so hot-headed,” Qin Nan said calmly. He did not dodge the slap, nor was he trying to defend himself. His eyes were engulfed in white flames instead.
The man was thunderstruck. His face turned pale. He quickly withdrew his hand and forced a smile, “Forgive me for being as blind as bat. Senior, please forgive me.”
“The Pavilion of Eight Suns is one of the six factions in this city. It is known for selling information and assassinating people, as long as you can afford the price.”
